Registration Fees

There is a $20 registration fee to attend Cátedra Paulo Freire: Liberating Hope within a Traumatized World. The registration fee covers coffee breaks and lunch on Friday, March 24th. Garrett-Evangelical and Northwestern University students, faculty, and staff will have their registration fee waived but must register with the Garrett-Evangelical or Northwestern University email address.

Parking

Participants have the option to pay for a Garrett-Evangelical Visitor's Lot parking pass ahead of time using the registration form. Parking passes are $8.

Continuing Education Units

Participants can earn 1 Contiuning Education Unit (CEU) for attending the Cátedra. CEU certificates are available for $10 and can be purchased ahead of time using the registration form. The certificate will be given at the end of the Cátedra.

Who is Paulo Freire?

Paulo Freire

Paulo Reglus Neves Freire was born in Recife- Brazil, on September 19, 1921. He died on May 2, 1997 in São Paulo leaving an academic legacy as a public and social intellectual who cared deeply “for the oppressed” and “the wretched of the earth.”
